“I’ve suddenly realized that my other dream home is a mid century modern sitting in some old trees with a sleek green lawn, sipped with orange countertops, wood paneling, and a two-sides fireplace; I’ve saved a Percy Faith Orchestra station on Spotify, and have joined several “vintage” recipe groups on Facebook (think ham-jello molds). This podcast has simply confirmed to me that I’m 54 and longing for the simpler days of the early 1970’s. (My mom died in 1975 when I was eight, and life did a 180° after that, so, early 70’s were the best!) I still fangirl over Shaun Cassidy (though David was my first love), and Rick Springfield, and know every word to Valley Girl.
If you’re a Gen Xer, especially a female Gen Xer, you must listen to this podcast! I almost feel like I’ve come home. Thank you, Carolyn, Kristin and Michelle for creating this podcast. My BFF from high school and I are jealous that you thought of it first. 😅”
