Vice President of Lyft 2/16/18
Wow, I couldnt believe how much they were able to share in just over 30 minutes! I listened to the podcast from 2/16/2018 with the VP of Lyft. Man was I surprised! I learned so much from him about Lyft as a company. I already use Lyft sometimes, but after hearing this I really gained a new appreciation for it as a company and see it in a new light. I loved hearing how the idea of Lyft actually came from something they saw in Zimbabwe and were inspired to bring here. Something that really stood out to me when listening was when they said that they are A “people company” not just a technological one. I love that they care most about how they treat riders and drivers. I also loved the diversity of information given. Not only was it about Lyft as the service we think of it as, but this episode really brought to light all aspects in full circle of how their company really assist all aspects of the company. I enjoyed hearing so many points being touched on and seeing how complex the roots are in the community. I never realized how diverse their uses are and how much they care to help others. One point that really struck me and made me believe what they were saying and believe that they actually CARE for the community was when they used the example of free codes given to people in the treatment center during the fires this year. I’m so pleasantly surprised with how much I was able to learn about the company by just listening to this. I have a new found respect for Lyft due to the insight from this episode.

This podcast is a fantastic resource for those who are looking to gain insight from the movers and shakers in the healthcare industry. I particularly like how the hosts, Gavin and Zac, will often ask about and why someone came into their position. Look forward to hearing more from these guys!
