Sceptic Inquirer
As an avowed (though wavering) Gnostic and an admirer of the work of Elaine Pagels, John Shelby Spong, and even atheist biblical scholars, such as Robert M. Price, I must admit that N. T. Wright's lectures are brilliant and original. Anyone questioning their faith and looking for something more substantial than age-old recycled apologetics would do well to listen to Wright's ideas on atonement, the existence of evil, and his unique reading of the Gospel of John. Like Raymond E. Brown, Wright has the unique ability to balance faith with reason, and makes very compelling arguments for orthodox Christianity. His voice is truly the voice of one crying in the wilderness of postmodernity. Bravo to Seattle Pacific!
