US President Joe Biden nominated Alice P. Albright to lead the Millennium Challenge Corporation, created in 2004 under Republican President George W. Bush. The MCC aims to combat poverty and corruption through economic growth and stringent accountability measures. Just back from Sierra Leone and en route to Morocco, Albright discusses MCC’s critical work throughout Africa and highlights projects in Mongolia, Indonesia, Timor Leste, Kosovo, the Solomon Islands and elsewhere.
