Great podcast, but add more humility
Edit 09/27/2021. A show about sobriety should NOT have a sponsorship from Anheuser-Busch as the first thing that plays! This is a huge miss, and very sad to see that sponsorship money speaks more than your personal ethics. This is a great new podcast helping to normalize discussions around mental health in general. AJ’s the biggest name, and his quip on every episode of “you might know me from this little band, we’re not a big deal” is getting cocky and annoying. Just say you’re AJ from the Backstreet Boys. AJ and Cheryl both tend to speak over and interrupt Rene since he’s more soft-spoken. Please be more aware of this and give Rene space to speak! *Edited to add that the newer add for Msculptneo is pretty tone deaf. Eating disorders are forms of addiction themselves and lead to so many other issues, so having this add about “looking your best” is disheartening.

I love the dynamic between AJ, Cheryl and Rene! Pretty Messed Up is so authentic and raw I can’t wait to tune in each week!
