In late 2022, Amazon laid off a significant number of employees, including 10,000 in November and 9,000 in January of the following year. Between this two layoffs the company offered some employees a "voluntary severance" package. However, there was a miscommunication around the details of the offer, causing confusion among some employees. Despite this, Victoria decided to accept the "voluntary severance" package.
