Psychologically Comic Media ? Cathartic comedy !
This brilliant podcast combines a few of my favourite things - psychology, humour and geek references !! Timothy Swann and Ben Fell are fantastically funny, incomparably informative and gratuitously geeky in just the right way. My favourite episode thus far is episode 8: The Gage and Sons Tamping Iron Gage Gauge, in which the two DNA strands of psychology and comedy entwine in a magnificent fashion that has Watson and Crick giggling in their graves Not only are these guys funny, they have revealed some of their inner selves to allow amateur psychologists like me the chance to analyse the duo’s personality peccadillos. Tim’s dream of being too frightened to be rude to David Cameron on a train, for example, shows that as much he wants to be a rebel without a cause he is too frightened of authority to do so. Ben, on the other hand, enjoys the ups and downs of life in the same way he enjoys skiing down mountains and jet-packing up them. My diagnosis ? Listen to this Freuding funny podcast !!
