“I’m just as sick of excuses for Kirk as anyone, but I’m not ready to call our o-line a significant improvement yet. Despite Darrisaw’s first round pedigree, do you really expect him to be better in his rookie season than Reiff was last season? Gun to my head, I’d guess not. Davis SHOULD be better than Cole or Dozier, but the range of outcomes for him is still wide at this point. I’m optimistic, but it’s way too early to say “no more excuses.” But if you’re confident, I would love to see a Write That Down predicting our pass blocking grade this season / through eight games. 20th best is my guess, and that would still qualify as an excuse for Kirk in my opinion.”
