Finally!
A podcast that speaks directly to me. As a man of color growing up in the south with many of the stereotypical disadvantages afforded our community. I've worked HARD, dare I say FIGHT, to get to the place I am now—a beautiful family, a successful career with a six-figure income, and freedom to do many things I've never dreamed of doing. I've benefitted from desire and determination to get better and be better from my wonderful mom and family. I stand on their shoulders. I still deal with some of the same stereotypes and the issues that plague our community. My success is just a stepping stone for my family, my people, and the future of my country. Now I need to turn around and pull those who are where I was up as I push my kids forward. But how do I do this? Where do I start? How do I keep what got me here and plant that in my sons and others? How do we not lose what makes us who we are? Or should we allow ourselves to be absorbed into something bigger? These brothers are on the same journey I'm on. And I'm glad they are. This podcast has already helped me to put things in perspective. And I'm grateful. Looking forward to their much success with this podcast.
