“I am super interested in history but wanted something outside of the normal ones I listen to that are kind of dry and just spit facts at you. While I love those too I needed something that didn’t put me to sleep at work lol. Enjoy the side comments and back and forth between the hosts, literally could care less they Americanize names etc because honestly who cares this isn’t meant to be a serious historically perfect podcast. They give a great background on every person they speak about and do the best they can to tell things that are accurate to the best of their ability to research. Let’s be real records of women in history are sparse at best and even super famous or infamous women that were written about were written about by men who viewed them as inferior so like why bother being accurate. I appreciate they try to find facts about these women and don’t focus on the men they are connected to and leave the women as an afterthought”
