Inspiring and bold!
This program is absolutely refreshing . To be able to hear from people on the Continent in their words about their lives and their realities is extraordinary. One woman in the first episode mentioned something key about being queer in Africa ( quite frankly this is a reality that many face in all oppressive societies around the globe) is about accessibility to knowledge on the internet. But what if you don’t have access to the internet . Where does one turn to for information and resources in our communities? What tools do we have to navigate in order to feel safe and connected? Well, Queer Talk Africa is from real people to real people. This is powerful and may your presence in the World be given more and more platforms to reach those most vulnerable and to everyone else to acquaint themselves to new narratives who are changing the world. BRAVA!
