Unrealistic and sad
The Mormon doctrine is that gays will be fixed and assigned a proper spouse on the other side of this life if they are righteous enough. This show pretends that you can be Mormon and gay and happy. You can’t. You can chose live in this life or salvation in the next. Not both. (Charlie is now technically an apostate BTW) That is a toxic and dangerous message especially to LGBTQ youth. Just listening to some of these episodes shows how problematic this is. And all it does is allows cis het Mormons to point and say “see you can do it.”
