Good, but felt it could have examined the problem and solutions much more deeply
I enjoyed this podcast and examines the problems with automated systems. It definitely made me think more about it (and caused more anxiety about the future especially in terms of increasing internet use during the pandemic). I just wish they devoted one or two episodes to talk about what could be done to mitigate these problems , e.g. by interviewing researchers who work on recommendation systems (more recently than the ex-Googler who worked there several years ago). It would also be interesting to examine these tech companies more closely in terms of their policies on fact checking, what it’s like to be a content moderator, etc. What are they (and not just YouTube, although that seems to be a focus of this podcast) doing *right now* ahead of the election and during COVID to address this?

More reviews of Rabbit Hole
Well, it’s to be expected that someone would copy Reply All from Gimlet. Pretty good show that follows The Daily format. Reply All is better, but this is pretty good.

This is the stuff I find super fascinating, and I think it all be a great break from the every day news cycle. Can’t wait to listen to more.

Good start. Intriguing topic. Ends so abruptly that I thought my WiFi dropped off (I’m chalking it up to production kinks).
