That conversation we’re waiting for
We’ve heard a lot about America needing to have a discussion about race that never seems to happen, just as civil rights issues continue to boil over across the country. Here are two friends from New York, one black, one white, who just dive into it. Anything is fair game, it seems, and both Drummond and Struby are brutally frank. Could I date your daughter? NO. Well there you go. The show jumps from very personal discussions like that, to hot topics ranging from police harassment to unfairness in college sports. You’re privy to a real conversation about longstanding and everyday race issues where both guys are asking questions about things that we all want to know about…but probably wouldn’t dare bring up in mixed race company, not without some queasiness, at least, and not without risking a seriously politically incorrect comment at worst. While you get to be a fly on the wall, Struby and Drummond have that conversation for you. This podcast is painful at times, because they’re not afraid to keep it 100 percent real. No weak tea comments here. It’s also funny in places, because you can relate to, or imagine, a lot of situations the duo discuss, in sometimes hilarious, high-pitched incredulous tones. I’d subscribe to this podcast. It’s going to be frank, fun, and just maybe it will help make it a little easier for the rest of us to open up about race. And just maybe that will help us all make a little headway in getting beyond it.

Wow
This is an intense podcast yet I wish the white guy was a bit more introspective when speaking. You guys may need be friends yet there needs to be more sensitivity in terms of race relations ... No one should create context to the N word. It's a horrible word

finally an uninhibited (not to mention hilarious and boundary pushing) forum for working through the issues of talking about race where no one emotion is more are valid than the other. I feel like my shrink would be proud of these guys.
