Nicola Heywood Thomas is at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama as it welcomes the Prince of Wales. He’s there to attend a special performance by the College’s students to celebrate his 70th birthday. There was also acting royalty in attendance: Welsh star Matthew Rhys, fresh from his nomination for a Golden Globe for his performance in the TV series ‘The Americans’. Nicola meets Helena Gaunt, the College’s new Principal, to talk about a very special day. And she talks to Matthew Rhys about the craft of acting and hears his advice to the students.
