“from me, perhaps, because as a voracious listener of (particularly film related) podcasts since their inception I’m surprised I haven’t come across it much earlier. All good, since I now have loads already posted and probably Patreon as well. My expectations have to be low due to the volume I consume, but they meet these and more.
Don’t use filler words constantly, ala “like,” et al. I love Blank Check, but it’s a glaring issue with all three, and usually the guest, also. I only tune in to FThisMovie for three of their collaborators as it’s brutal. How the vast majority of podcasters don’t even attempt to improve in this regard is beyond me, given their years on microphones.
For the most, when discussing acting they use the actors’ real life names and when discussing within the movies the characters’. Very refreshing because it helps the audience stay in the mood of the films rather than, say, calling “Furiosa” Charlize Theron almost every time, and “Max” Tom Hardy, when doing a podcast for every four minutes of film time (YouAreAwaited). They clearly love the subject matter, research them, which even though I’m already aware moves things along competently. I usually skip (only two days in) the “Intermission,” but it’s still a neat idea which I’m sure many enjoy. I think they’re twins, their rapport is consistent with this, and makes for a great experience knowing they truly dig each other. While the outbursts of laughter (the very juvenile “hard” exchange was pretty brutal) aren’t ideal for one who tries to fall asleep listening to podcasts and audiobooks, it still seems genuine, and the very pickiest of nits. Definitely recommend and can see it being a regular thing. Cheers! ✌️ Uh-oh, as I was writing they went into an intermission during “Heat” and asked which year DePalma’s “Dracula” was made (meaning the 1992 Coppola directed “Bram Stoker’s Dracula”)? I usually wouldn’t do the bit, but UNSUBSCRIBE!”
