“Raise the Line has become an important resource for me to understand methods and techniques to make healthcare more efficient. The podcast is aimed at improving the lives of healthcare professionals like myself, and there is a wealth of knowledge provided in 20 - 30 minute episodes, which I am able to follow in my busy schedule.
While every episode is instrumental to all physicians, some of the noteworthy episodes according to me were ones regarding the impact of the Covid - 19 pandemic on doctors like Dr. Poonam Desai, an ER physician in New York and her struggles when she tested positive while she was pregnant which highlighted the strain on healthcare and the dedication of physicians despite limited resources. Another episode was based on mental wellness which was highlighted in the podcast with Dr. Adam B Hill, where he lost five of his colleagues to suicide, and he vividly described the mental strain on clinicians and ways to cope. Few of my favourite episodes were the one with Dr.Ken Johnson where he shared the challenges of telemedicine and ways to improve the virtual patient - physician interaction, the episode highlighting the importance of the science of breathing with James Nestor and yet another episode on creating tiny habits with Dr. BJ Fogg.
All of the episodes from Raise the Line has taught me methods to improve my life both as an individual and as a physician, and I hope many more healthcare professionals can improve their lives by applying the knowledge gained from this podcast.
If you have not heard it yet, go ahead and listen to it. You will not regret it.”
