This week’s guest is an advocate for a multifaceted perspective of health! Through the Ateneo the Manila University’s Health Sciences Society, Ely and his team work on a diverse set of public health initiatives. They are concentrating on advocacy since the Philippines has a giant gap in their healthcare system. The members of the society all end up using multidisciplinary skills to keep spreading this awareness and advocacy outside of school. Their goal is to produce multidisciplinary public health individuals whose ideals are to become leaders, social catalysts, and outstanding health professionals. Ely also shares his thoughts on the current challenges of retaining talent, fake news, and misinformation and how his organization faces them.
