I learn so much with this podcast
I have never been a person who reads much. I love and respect books and even listen to the radio person’s bi-weekly show on books, but I never thought I could be a person who took less than 3 months to get through a 200-page book. This changed at the end of last year when I found Kendra and Autumn on Instagram by chance. I am that person who follows 3 book clubs on Instagram the way one follows fitness accounts in hopes of inspiring oneself to workout more or, in my case, read more. I figured out this ig page had a podcast and decided - since the radio in my car broke in the car wash and I had finished serial - that I would give these ladies (and books) a chance. I fell in love with the very first episode. I kept listening and writing down the books they talked about that appealed to me. Some of them are too difficult emotionally for me to read (ie. Salvage the Bones), but I am working my way through the 2019 Reading Women challenge and I am 3 books in in January alone! My favourite podcasts have been the one about Hermione and the one about the other Einstein. I admit I am not yet caught up with the episodes, but I am working on it. Through this podcast, I have been enlightened into the way books mimic your life as a reader and can help you through those times where your attitude sucks and things are not working out. Both Kendra and Autumn and the women in these books have taught me much about my life and I think I have grown immensely since I let books in through this podcast. Lastly, I would like to end by saying that these two ladies are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about books and the women who write them and those whose stories are being told. Their words sparked a love for books in me and taught me the importance that female literature has in my life.

This podcast has opened my eyes to so many good books! Love the conversations they have around women authors, but also the portrayal of women in literature! Definitely recommend!

This podcast is brimming with diversity, it’s amazing. They simplify the most complex and difficult topics in such a way that anyone who’s new can follow and it doesn’t take away the pain/trauma/stress/implications of said topics. Good job ladies!
