“I personally feel weird about the way she prompts him to speak. In every episode, she repeatedly asks him questions to which they both already know the answers…like how mom would talk to her little son.
Even though she is the host of the podcast and is supposed to lead the conversation, that can come across as patronizing, controlling and dismissive toward this grown-up man at times.
Maybe that’s how they talk to each other and they are completely fine with it. I assume that’s their version of “natural” conversations…I’d prefer more spontaneous interactions.”
