“I listen to this podcast not for Bill Maher, but for the guests that he has. They have some specialized knowledge suited towards the topics of the current news cycle.
Unfortunately, Bill no longer has guests with differing opinions as his. Now, his guests are a bunch of people that he wants to validate his claims and gripes.
He is also very self-serving. He was mad about the COVID lockdowns because it meant he couldn’t do shows. He is against anything youth-minded because he is an old cranky man that is worried of being “cancelled “. He loves marijuana and thinks everyone should be pro-legalization just so he can smoke everywhere on his tours.
And finally, for a guy that doesn’t have children and hates them in general, he has a lot of opinions about how parents are raising them. He supports the saying, “If you don’t vote, you can’t complain.” Well, if he doesn’t know what it’s like to be a parent, he should be judgmental of parents. I think he needs to realize that this isn’t the 1960s. Times change, technologies change, and culture changes.
