This Seminar offers insight into the role of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees. The presentation will explore three strands i.e. a brief history and mandate of the agency, the manner in which the protection mandate has been developed including enhancing UNRWA’s engagement with complementary systems such as international human rights law and lastly, current challenges in protection.
