“Review of Roma Waterman’s podcast “Your Prophetic Identity as a worshipper and finding your sphere of influence”
In this clearly-structured and easy-on-the-ear podcast, Roma Waterman talks of our ‘Prophetic Identity as a worshipper’ and finding our sphere of influence. Roma talks from extensive, deep and real personal experience. According to Roma, we each have an identity – our own, unique God-given identity. She asks us to ask ourselves what we love and rejects the idea of performance and works. What she says is liberating. She asks us to seek our identity in the spiritual world. We each have a sphere of influence, which is the way in which God has designed us.
Personally, this resonates with me. I love singing. I have limited keyboard skills, but sufficient to write simple songs of praise. There is nothing I love more than singing a classic hymn such as ‘I Exalt Thee’ or one of my own, e.g. ‘The Wonder of Heaven’. I am not competing with anyone as I sing on my own at home or in a park. As Roma quotes, it is not about the market-place but the secret place.
Through this podcast, the Lord gives us permission to be unique and sets us free. Called, clothed in our own clothes, we are to be ourselves.
This is a beautiful message from a God-loving, full-of-awe-before-God musician who is such an encouragement to the body of Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour.
Highly recommended. (Why? It is potentially life-changing for a worshipper.)”
