Representing different corners of Media
I love this podcast and the guests brought on. Different perspectives on representation for minorities in media - whether race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or identity, religion, or people with disabilities. This gave new context for where some underrepresented kinds of people are limited to certain stereotypes for roles, but it also helps showcase the content that break from these molds. I've watched several shows/movies based on what I've heard on this podcast, from One Day At A Time with Rita Moreno to Spa Night with Joe Seo. They also tackle current event topics including #OscarsSoWhite, the Weinstein allegations and sexual assault/harassment in Hollywood, and unequal pay amongst costars.
