“I’m generally ok with the speakers but in comparison to other podcasts I have subscribed to, the host or maybe the entire program design needs to be thought through.
I hope that the host can have more meaningful interaction with the speaker. Within the maybe ten podcasts I have listened to, the host has never asked one single question that is based on what the speaker has just said; has never helped to guide the speaker to clarify what they have just explained, or direct the speaker to talk about something more interesting or insightful. So far I have simply used the podcast as an abstract reading device…
In general, informs might be the first academic organization that has its own podcast. There is a lot to learn from other existing podcasts. One very thoughtful podcast that is also about more academic topic that I like a lot is HiddenBrain.”
