“When my child turned 2 I found myself very much in need of some practical advice about how to parent in a way that I’m proud of, and came across this podcast, which is highly rated. I have listened to a few episodes at this point, and find the ideas, theories and concepts presented to be quite lovely and ideal, but have yet to hear any practical suggestions about how to go about actually putting these theories into practice; an element, which if I’m honest, imo comes across as somewhat condescending. The last episode I listened to was someone seeking advice about how to get away from bribing or providing a reward to encourage certain behaviours, and the message of “set loving boundaries” was repeated, but no clue of what the narrator was actually doing or suggesting. I would suggest alternate podcasts if you’re seeking suggestions about actual strategies”
