Description
The word “Yoga” means yoke. Jesus told His disciples to take His “yoke.” Was He introducing a yoga-like approach to spirituality, or did He mean something completely different? On this episode, the eight limbs of yoga and eight different types of yoga are compared to the teachings of the Son of God. *Note: The Warrior II pose is primarily dedicated to the god Virabhadra. It is also used at times as a worship pose to Ganesha. In this teaching, however, only Ganesha is mentioned. A much more thorough treatment of this concept can be found in a popular article by Mike Shreve titled, “10 Yoga Poses That Offer Worship to Hindu Deities.” Comparative religion website: www.thetruelight.net Ministry website: www.shreveministries.org The Catholic Project: www.toCatholicswithlove.org Video channel: www.YouTube.com/mikeshreveministries All audio-podcasts are shared in a video format on our YouTube channel.
