Description
Ask people if they have ever seen money, and most will answer by a resounding “Yes”. Some will look at you as if you asked the most ridiculous question. Ask them to show you money and they will rush to pull a Bank Note, denomination of a currency ($U.S. likely). Draw their attention to the text “THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR ALL DEBTS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE”. Happily, point out that there is nothing on the Bank Note claiming it as money. Now you will get their attention.
Unfortunately, that is how we go about our daily lives. We don’t pay attention to little things, we just assume a lot of things, don’t question anything, yet we wonder why things are not working and we are not happy. We spend most of our times going after money, yet no one seems to genuinely find happiness with what most consider to be money. In addition to the obvious confusion between currency and money, the history of money holds the key for why money hasn’t, isn’t, and will not make anyone happy.
