“this podcast is amazing, these boys really show a cast is as important as the topics being discussed. of the many things i enjoy hearing them talk about there’s one that that really jumped out at me...hypermiling. who knew this was a thing?! it has completely changed my life, my wallet, and maybe(strong maybe) my footprint on mother earth. there have been some negative impacts of converting to this lifestyle but that all goes out the window when i harvest the oh so sweet fruits of my labor, that decreased fuel consumption baby! yeah sex is cool, but have you ever surpassed your cars EPA/manufacturers fuel efficiency rating?? ridge-riding, oh boy let me tell you, what a lottery! though i’ve gotten 3 flat tires over the last few weeks from road debris, it’s greatly reduced the road rage as most people just think i’m halfway broken down and pass me. by my calculations with the 3.8MPG i’ve gained in my golf r, i should be able to offset the cost of the 1 tire and 2 tire plugs with fuel savings in about 11 months. also be warned, 10mph roll throughs at stop signs don’t go over well with johnny law. they better have a real good sense of humor if you’re gonna try “someone’s gotta make up for all the idling you guys do haha!”, my officer didn’t :(. on a lighter note you’d think the whole “girlfriend refusing to ride with me anymore and taking separate cars everywhere” thing would be a bad thing, but it’s actually great. i leave when i’m ready, and she leaves ~2 hours later once her makeup and hair is finally done and we still get to dinner at the same time! double heckin’ win if you ask me. you think hypermiling a car is rewarding? try doing it in a 20 ton fuel tanker! i’ve managed to get 5.3 mpg instead of the usual 5.1 in my work truck, bosses quickly cut that experiment short when i went from 20 deliveries a day to 3. anyhoo, listen to this podcast. it’s great. they’re great. jeep dicks are great. @dogpizza here, signing out.”
