He is the author of God & Menzies (2021) & The Making of a Tory Evangelical (2019). He is also the editor of Menzies in his own Words (2020), Abbott: The Defining Speeches (2019), Howard: The Art of Persuasion (2018) & Menzies: The Forgotten Speeches (2017). David has written opinion pieces and articles for Quadrant, ABC Religion & Ethics, Eternity News, Spectator Australia and Lucas: An Evangelical History Review. David holds a PhD in History from The University of New South Wales and completed part of his candidature at the University of Edinburgh in the UK. He has presented papers at history conferences in Australia, the UK and the US.
