Iwi leaders in Tairawhiti Gisborne want assurances from the government that their region will be protected from Covid-19. The threat of Covid-19 is heightened in the country's region with the most youth and the highest percantage of Māori. Yesterday, one iwi leader asked Associate Minister of Health Peeni Henare if he could speak to Cabinet about putting up borders. Our Tairawhiti reporter Tom Kitchin has more.
