“Unlike many “wokies” as Rob calls it, I do not believe that I cannot be friends or understand people just because they are republican and I’m a democrat.
I voted for Biden but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a single policy of Trump’s I did not agree with.
The thing about wokies is that they project their version of truth without regard for science or data, because “unless you are xxx (black, trans, etc) you will never understand how it feels” and that they shoe everyone into... identity politics.
I’m a democrat who tries to understand the values of the right because I accept that conservative values are not going anywhere and I don’t believe that all conservatives are stupid.
Rob’s podcast signs a light on that. He’s eloquent and even though I don’t agree with everything, at least I can better understand what’s going on, and therefore I myself can be proud to say that I’m not putting everyone with the same skin color into one box because what’s more racist than that?
