“Rob, I grew up with your art, with your comics! What you and team were doing to form Image comics made it to the east coast during my formative comic book years. I recently found your podcast, after a long hiatus from comic books (work related), and it has rekindled my love and interest in comics. I thought I knew a fraction of comics, but I am continually learning more and more about artists/writers/pencilers/inkers/feuds/you name it! I especially like your hidden gems segments and find them very insightful. All of this is coming at a time when my son is becoming a little person, with his unique mannerisms, thoughts, feelings and opinions (you know how that is). He artistically inclined and is learning to read, so this is perfect timing to begin laying the comic book foundation of his life🙂. We are reading comics, going to our LCS and ending each week by watching a comic book/comic book inspired movie after my wife and daughter go up to bed. He loves Spiderman and Wolverine, of course. But last weekend when we were discussing what to watch, Deadpool was brought up, which prompted my wife to yell downstairs “you two better not watch Deadpool”…..This brought about smirks on our faces. We both said in whispers to each other “we’re watching Deadpool”, and I have been in trouble all week. lol. A moment that was totally worth it, and not possible with you buddy! Thanks again for creating a fun and informative environment.”
