This episode is with one of the original founding members of The Kinks, Dave Davies. Dave has been the lead guitarist since the bands inception in 1963. The band has released over 24 studio albums along with Dave releasing 7 solo albums. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the albums; "Muswell Hillbillies" and "Everybody's In Show Biz"- The Kinks have recently released a new box set featuring 11 discs, a hard cover book, a dvd featuring film footage that brother Ray shot during the recording period and much more. In our interview, Dave talks about how important country music was to the band and why the original recording of the box set albums were so meaningful to the band. We also talk to Dave about being banned in the U.S. for many years, his two releases coming on Record Store Day in November and his thoughts on saving the planet.
