“Full disclosure: I listen to just about all of the Arrow podcasts available on iTunes. As each one has it's own strengths and weaknesses,I try not to compare them; just judge them on their own merits.
What I liked:
I like that they play audio from the show and discuss it; please do more of that! The overall audio is clear and crisp (mostly) and easy to understand. Finally, I appreciate that the hosts are willing to say that they don't like an episode-to me that is rare and commendable, especially when they can provide examples to back up their opinion.
What could use improvement:
Format- there isn't a discernible one. Who are the four co-hosts? What strengths do they have-is one a hardcore comic book fan that could offer insight? Is another one an archer?; etc. I get that it's meant to be "buds" having a discussion, but if you can't offer me a different insight/analysis on the show…
The review is a little all over the place; it does not follow a linear fashion. The review does not begin with the opening shot and then follow through to the end, nor do they take topics such as fight scenes/costumes/relationships/etc. for analysis. Instead we get tangential rampages.
Last, and this may be a technical issue, but the podcast does not progress without repeating itself. I literally found myself saying out loud, "didn't I just hear that? Did I push a button or something?" And then I look at the time counter and realize that it is in the podcast.
That said, there is hope for this podcast! Please find and commit to a format. Second, please address the technical issues in your recording. Once done, I hope to listen to you next season.”
