"Historical narration steeped in hilarious absurdity"
Totalus Rankium is a highly accessible and entertaining exploration into the lives of the emperors of ancient Rome with a humourously satirical perspective unique to the chemistry between the two hosting Englishmen. With a mandate of informing the audience (and one of the hosts), of the circumstances which led to a line from Augustus to Augustulus, Rob and Jamie deliver a very funny narrative filled with insightful between the lines speculation rivalling Plutarch himself (The long lost forgotten rock which saw to the rise of an emperor and huge consequence to Rome springs to mind). Absolute must hear for any with an interest in Ancient History, delivered in a chronological format with a nonsensical scoring criteria in the honey smooth tones of one hailing from Britannia.

More reviews of Roman Emperors
Most people know a little about the Romans, and this is a fun way to learn more about the big names you already know, or about all the parts you've never heard about. It's funny and breezes through in a smooth, engaging way.Read full review »

I still love this podcast. It’s informative and funny and doesn’t have ads for f&@king Audible or Blue Apron. If I met Rob and Jamie I would jump their legs and buy them a beer.
