“Rodney Barnes is considered a master of the genre for good reason. His pacing and tone are unique, his content naturally makes you want more, and he does it all while making you feel like you’re in the room with him.
To those that complain about expletives…yeah…it’s rated Mature/Explicit. If you’re complaining about your kids hearing profanity, why are you letting them listen to an explicit podcast in the first place? Especially one with death and dismemberment! That’s on you, genius.
For those that believe Mr. Barnes is racist towards white people…just tell me you don’t understand literary devices or history. His first episode was from the perspective of an Ojibwe woman…you don’t think some Indigenous Americans have good reason for disdain towards colonizers and their descendants? Or African Americans holding grudges towards oblivious white folks? Fancy bubble you live in. That’s not racism, that’s reality.
I further recommend that people listen to this podcast so they can be exposed to some much needed culture and perspective. If you take the small effort to get over yourself, you may actually understand why the social commentary is necessary in the context of a story. Stop being soft.”
