“Keep in mind Mark has a day job. But he does good research and has a passion for the material. He also does a good job of breaking the material down and explaining it. I have learned a great deal about Russia and her people.
One note is the pacing slows down as more material becomes available. We are at 14 episodes for Nikita and still going… 14 for Catherine, 3 for Ivan the Great.
It is almost 2 different podcasts. Russia up to the soviet era is a survey of history podcast. Starting in the soviet era, it is a much more detailed, much slower paced podcast.
Both are worth the time.
