Mil Gracias to you and your guest Mr. Zamora for such a compelling and poetic success story; especially for humanizing those who are constantly dehumanized and labeled. Like many immigrants, I knew from the beginning that nothing was going to be freely given. If I desired to succeed in this society, I needed to immerse myself to develop a linguistic, cultural, and historical education, as well as many other aspects particular to the North American way of life. Now, surviving after you’ve established yourself and your family requires a different set of skills and education: from fighting labels and identifying the different societal webs, to avoiding the alteration of our rich cultural values as well as our conditions. Thank you again for such an interesting program.
