Thank you for Scholarships
My so is going to KSU he doesn't have any scholarships. I have 3 children and I raised 2 of my sister children. Zach is my youngest. My husband and I never thought Zach would ever go to college, and truly never thought Kennesaw State University. I didn't have a good education. I was in special ed classes in all my school years. So I did not have the capability of teaching my children. My husband worked long hours so it was very hard for me to help my children. Zach is a very intelligent man. He struggling all his life in school and I know this has a lot to do with me because I couldn't help him. Zach struggle every year in school as I did but I did not know how to help him at all. Sack has been in the IP classes throughout his school years. I did not realize IEP was basically our special ed classes. Zach really had a hard time in high school by time he got to 12 grade he was behind 3 years of schooling and we just know Zach wasn't going to graduate. We felt like Zach was going to be living with us the rest of his life I just didn't see Zach having a very good future. At that time I just cited to put him on Adderall. Then Zach was in alternative school and he basically finished 4 years of high school in one year of alternative school. Zach graduated and that was a very happy moment in our life we thought maybe there was light at the end of the tunnel for him and would not end up like me. We always knew Zach was very intelligent because of his IQ testing we had done it was amazing he just couldn't read and write but he is a very intelligent man. After Zach graduated I did not have any idea I want to do or how to get him in a college. My oldest daughter had moved out at 17 I moved into abusive relationship. We try to get her into the military but she wouldn't do it she did eventually go to college and got her assistant nursing degree. My middle son David went into the Army but was injured and had to return to us we then eventually told him he needed to go to college so he went to ITT Tech. My sister son Josh went back to Chicago with that eventually made it back here to a lawyer now he's doing great he's managing a restaurant. Benny came to Zach I had no clue I on what to do or how to do anything to do with college. I know he didn't have a very good GPA 2.5 at that time I did not even know what a GPA was. I got online and begin to fill out anything and everything to do with scholarships because I knew we could not afford it and I did not want to put that burden on Zach. Well apparently I didn't fill out any of that matter basically they were all scams I didn't know that. I began looking at colleges that may take him even though he didn't have a very good schooling. We came across Georgia military college in Fairburn Georgia I guess God was looking over me because somehow someway I got him in there. Zach did qualify for the Hope scholarship which that helped us a lot. Zack was on the Dean's list every quarter at Georgia military college this amazed us and thrive to make the money to send him to a good college so he could further his education. That Zach graduated and received his Computer programming degree in one year. We were amazed that our son Zach got his scholarship he was the child that we felt we can go anywhere would end up like his mother not having an education. Georgia military college did give me a list of colleges that would except Zach. I spent every day and night as much as I could research in a college for him I didn't want him fired because I knew that he was still needing help. I came across Kennesaw State University I still don't understand how I did it but we got him into Kennesaw State University still I did not know how or what to do were still dependent on others to help me with us how we are going to four for him to attend KSU. I did it again started filling out scholarship forms online and once again nothing. My husband worked overtime doubletime anything you told my son he didn't matter we would pay for his college his housing or whatever we needed to do in order for him get his bachelors degree. Again there was an anybody to help us. I stressed every day and I continue to to make sure we have the money for Zach to live at KSU because him driving 2 and half hour to school and back would take all that time out of his studies. Zach did get loans and what he could not get approved for we paid he's been doing great at Kennesaw State University and we are so proud of what he has done. I just wish I could've helped him in the 12 years in his school years. I feel bad and hurt that I could not help him until his 11th year of school. I just wish I had the help so I could have gotten Zack scholarships but he's doing great and when he has and what we can you pay for him my husband continues to have her as much as he can to support his college I let him down in the 12 years of his schooling but we won't let him down anymore we'll pay any difference but he cannot get from his loans and then at the end I will pay his loans for him and I'm ugly face is just to show him how sorry I am for not knowing how to help him or who to ask. I wish there was help for the parents and children that have ADD, ADHD and other learning learning disability by educating them on how to receive help. Thank you so much for everything you've done for my son at KSU.
