This is the 11th of 15 videos of this conference, which was held on May 13, 2014, at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration (SSA). It was a first-of-its-kind forum for innovative economic strengthening research dedicated to improving health, education, and well-being outcomes of vulnerable children, adolescents, families, and communities in low-resource settings, including children affected by HIV/AIDS and humanitarian disasters. This conference was organized by Fred Ssewamala, Associate Professor in SSA and Director of the Columbia University International Center for Child Health and Asset Development. The featured afternoon speaker was Lucie Cluver, Associate Professor of Evidence-Based Social Intervention in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at Oxford University, and Honorary Lecturer in Psychiatry and Mental Health at the University of Cape Town.
