Non-rigorous science journalism
The seed oils episode was weird. You chose the quackiest doctor as one of the scientific experts and allowed her to share all her views, but then cherry picked other scientists and studies to land on an answer. I personally don’t think an entertainment podcast is the correct arena to discuss these kinds of issues that have serious implications on human health. Clearly this podcast is meant to polarize and entertain, but I would be wary of touting their conclusions as fact. Science journalists are notorious for not understanding the science— they simply don’t have the right education to do so. If you’re seeking an educated perspective on the potential concerns of consuming seed oils, I’d recommend Jeff Nobbs as an intelligent expert in the space.

I’ve been enjoying Wendy’s science reporting since she was on Sydney community station FBi. Keep up the great the work. Bust those myths!
