Disappointed Huge Fan with Hope
I am a huge fan of the show for sure. The guests are amazing. I’ve mostly enjoyed the hosts when they dive deep into the heads, processes and passions that help us understand the people behind the music, their personal and professional lives, inspirations, gear, and studio life. However, since we are now paying for this podcast, there seems to be less and less each month in regards to the rich content that they once offered, both in frequency and length. Also, they may have pioneered this topic very well, including the awesome documentary, but now there are many great podcast out there discussing this very topic with a variety of composers from all genres and disciplines, including many successful indie composers. Not a fan of paying for less. I hope they go back to more substance that paved the way for this format. I don’t write many reviews, but because I loved this show so much, I feel it was necessary before canceling my subscription or at least pausing to make room for some of the other great podcasts out there.

Hearing Sean Callery admit that he’s a “jazzer at heart” and then croon-scat the melody to Ornithology is podcasting at its finest

This is a great podcast for people who like scores and getting background info about the process. Music transforms what we watch, and more attention should be paid to it- this podcast is a good place to start. Also, I happen to love trivia so #NameThatScore is an awesome treat.
