“Sigler’s books are a lot of fun. At least when he’s the one narrating. “Professional” voice actors don’t do as good of a job as he does. The GFL series is a great example. A “professional” radio drama was produced for the entire series - the acting isn’t as good as his own interpretation (and it’s heavily abridged).
The podcast versions are also better than the “ad free” audiobooks. They tightened up the edit by removing a lot of the bassey pads that separated sections of the book and it sounds rushed and choppy in places.
Sigler has a twisted sense of humor that other readers fail to capture. His character voices are distinct and consistent. With the added sound effects and additional processing, his reads are more like a radio drama. Very fun!”
