The Best Watch Podcast
I blame Floatlite for getting me into this. There I was, working from home on a Friday, replying to emails I’d missed during the week. Suddenly, my phone vibrates violently as RedBar UK head honcho, Floatlite, buzzes me about a podcast he appeared on. An hour of Scots chatting watches. No thanks, mate. He insisted so I’d said I’ll listen to it over the weekend. No dice, he said, you need to listen naoow. Fine, I’ll stick it on in the background. It was a 2-parter, and at the end of the first part, I was desperate to hear the second. But I had to wait until next week. I’d forgotten what I was doing and instead had my browser open to IMDB and Urban Dictionary (trust me, it’s needed). Many episodes later, I still listen routinely. My commutes fly by and it’s my favourite watch podcast. It’s funny, doesn’t take itself too seriously and is all the better for it. If you’ve got doubts, do what I did and just listen.
