The Count of Monte Cristo is a film that displays the story of two friends in the era of Napoleon Bonapart in France. Edmond (Jim Caviezel) and Fernand (Guy Pierce) seem like two trusting friends; however, as the plot moves forward Fernand double crosses Edmond, calls him out as a traitor, and has him arrested.
