Description
Are you afraid of the dark unknown and what might be living in it? "The Descent" (2005) is a severely underrated low budget horror film that successfully mixes real and fictional fear about a group of explorers who stumble upon a strange breed of predators after becoming trapped during a caving expedition. Written and directed by UK filmmaker Neil Marshall, it stars an entirely female cast of Shauna Macdonald, Natalie Mendoza, Alex Reid, Saskia Mulder, MyAnna Buring, and Nora-Jane Noone. Tune in as we talk trivia, go over how the actresses and crew never stepped foot into an actual cave, talk about what the monstrous Stygian Crawlers are, discuss why "The Descent" is such an effective horror film, talk a few scenes that were cut from the script, and dig into its multiple movie endings.
