Interfaith Awareness
Somewhat unique to SDI conversations with practitioners of seemingly disparate faiths is the knowledge they often have of each other’s practices. The search for meaning and purposefulness of life is a common thread. Various holy books, or scriptures, are not the end but the beginning of self awareness whose goal is universal love for all of creation and realization that everything in the universe is connected. Zazen, Vipasanna meditation and contemplative prayer are some of the interchangeable practices of self awareness that lead to enlightenment.

Loved Matt’s interview with Taqwa Surapati. She was articulate about, and confident in, her role as a chaplain aka spiritual care provider. As context, I’ve been a chaplain for nineteen years and still find the role hard to define for others

I am looking for an old episode: 009 with Diane Millis. I’ve used it with groups I lead to talk about our lives as stories, and I went to send it to the new group and it’s gone! Is there any way I can get access to it? It’s so helpful!
