“Submission” has become a buzzword of sorts. At some point in the dating process its mentioned by us (men) as a desirable trait. But when we do, eyebrows are raised, eyes start rolling, and in most cases, an argument is about to ensue. It’s a frustrating conversation that women seem to go apeshit over. They hear us say we want a submissive woman and they envision a man wanting a woman like to Vanessa Bell Calloway’s character in “Coming to America”, the type of woman who answers every question with, “whatever you like” and will hop on one foot while barking like a dog (if necessary) to please her man.
