Great Tribe
Combat veteran turned mental health clinician Duane France, interviewing Harold S. Kudler, who references Jonathan Shay, author of “Achilles in Vietnam: Combat Trauma and the Undoing of Character”, provides a rich reframing of how all of us, to include veterans, civilians, senior military command and active duty service members, and mental health providers, can and should collectively seek to breakdown barriers to treatment. The perspective Dr. Kudler provides in Episode 46 is not only fascinating history, it suggests a way forward to ensuring no veteran, and those family and friends who love them, are ever left alone to fall between the cracks.
